Astrophotography Gallery > Galaxies

Galaxies are our reminders of the relative insignificance of our planet in the grand scheme of the universe. Consider this for a moment: our planet, Earth, orbits around a single star, Sol (our sun). Sol is one of billions of stars in our galaxy, the Milky Way. The Milky Way galaxy contains over a billion verified galaxies, each with its own stars. All of those stars present the possibility of planets of their own and, as a result, life. As we look through the telescope at another galaxy, we must consider that, somewhere in that galaxy, there might be a being looking back at us, wondering what might be out there. Galaxies come in many shapes and forms, all of which are beautiful in their own unique way.
